ORGANIC Chocolate Cake? No, just mulch.

Sweet Peet

Sweet Peet is an organic, versatile and SAWEETTTTT treat for your soil and plants. I'm not calling Sweet Peet organic just for the hell of it... it is 100 percent organic due to its contents which contain virgin wood products, manure and plant fiber (that be it!).

What makes it different than many other mulches and soil amendments is that it contains zero human waste, absolutely no leftover construction material/junk wood (pallets) and no chemicals what-so-ever!

The secret behind this ever so magical mulch is that unlike bark or wood mulch, it does not steal the nitrogen from the soil, but instead it feeds nitrogen in a slow release form to your plants!

Want to hear something even more amazing ( but slightly boring )? Sweet Peet offers a series of multiplications of these super beneficial and necessary soil organisms ( mycorrhizae, rhizobacteria and earthworms), among others. The results in the increased production of glomalin (had to google this) which happens to be the "glue" which binds soil particles together. So, what's the point? Well, Sweet Peet just baked some magical goodness for ya! You get to enjoy that gorgeous tilth of 'chocolate cake goodness' (super dark, cake like soil) which plants love.

How is this stuff made you might ask?
Sweet Peet is created after going through a series of composting stages in which high temperatures are applied. The intense heat destroy's all weeds, which prevents those suckers from contaminating your garden beds! Here is where it gets its name... It has a chocolaty dark brown color with a cake like texture that smells sweet with a slightly earthy smell. Sounds amazing right? You would never believe you are working with manure!

Motivation

When I was sixteen years old, I realized my life was in for a change. At thirteen years old, I started my landscaping business. After a few years, I was mowing close to eighteen lawns on a bi-weekly basis. I decided it would be a tough business to continue at the age of sixteen years old. Soon after, I got my first offer to design and build the front entrance garden to a home, right down the street from my home. Right then, I knew I was in the right business. I loved the sequence of planting a garden- designing, shopping for plants and then the planting/mulching part. I had always loved gardens- and now I was creating them all over for other people to enjoy. For them, it was the color, textures and scents of the flowers I planted. For me- it was witnessing the happiness, smiles and gratitude that my clientele had towards my creativity. There is nothing better in this world then making someone else happy. Today, I operate as Jamestown Gardens on the Island known as Jamestown. Jamestown is a town located in Rhode Island. Our office is located at 57 Narragansett ave, Jamestown, RI 02835.

Moss

Moss Covers the imperfections in the earth and makes them perfect... Naturally!

Several gardeners, and many homeowners have started gearing towards the use of moss in their gardens. Now imagine taking a chunk of that natural perfection and plopping it right on your tabletop! How fantastic would that look? Moss is soothing to the soul, fun to touch and add's a beautiful accent to any indoor or outdoor area.

You can even put moss inside your table!

You can create these masterpieces for virtually nothing... take a hike through the woods, or go into a shady part of your yard and grab a chunk from the earth. You can transplant moss very easily... spritz (not soak) it with some water and you are all set. Have fun!
